If you are attempting to defend the Democrats and prove that Republicans are worse you are wasting your time. For every bad Republican bill, I can show you 4 bad Democrat bills. And what have the Republicans repealed in the last fifty years? Oh and nice try with your BS list above, most of those pieces of legislations were dreamed up by a Democrat and they found a sucker Republican to help co-sponsor the bill. What’s the cliche – “You can’t con an honest man” ? Between 21 January 2001 and 2 January 2007, the Democrats had no problem finding two hundred and seventy sucker Republicans, as the GOP had control of the White House (1 sucker), the House of “Representatives” (218 suckers) and the U.S. Senate (51 suckers) during that timeframe, and yet farm subsidies were brought back, the TSA was created, etc. – everything from the above list between 2001 and 2006. Not much was repealed, taxes were cut slightly, and the national debt ballooned. Medicare Part D deserves special mention here, in that the GOP actively campaigned on creating this in the 2002 elections – “No senior should go without their prescriptions” was what Heather Wilson had on quite a few of her campaign mailings and TV spots in 2002. Way to go, Republicans.
Notes from Life, Etc.
- Got another piece of mail about CV-2009-12562. Apparently Woodruff says that we (the LPNM) need to “voluntarily vithdraw” from Woodruff v. Herrera in federal court and “forgo any benefits from it.” Ha – he’s shot his wad with that one, stick a fork in him, he’s done there. Hopefully soon to be done in New Mexico as well if Steve Curtis has enough to file a complaint against Woodruff with the NM Bar Association’s Disciplinary Board.
I think Curtis has enough to slam-dunk Woodruff’s ass with the Disciplinary Board – in July, Woodruff placed a direct call to Jay Vandersloot, instead of going through Steve Curtis (violation of conduct), then wrote an ex parte letter to Judge Huling.
My main gripe is that Judge Hulign continues to cut Woodruff breaks in this case, even as he treats her like shit during the hearings. I’d have slammed him with contempt of court ages ago.
