One of my close friends here in Albuquerque was cited for riding a motorcycle without a helmet back in the late 1960s or early 1970s. When he went before the judge, he said to the judge, “Show me the law.” The judge couldn’t produce the actual statute requiring anyone to wear a helmet, so the charges were dropped, and New Mexico has been riders’-choice ever since then.

I’ve been getting this sort of crap for a few months now. I guess not only my paycheck is subject to their whims, but also my inbox, as well?The funny thing about this is now they’re taking the term “Obamacare” as their own when before, they used to get pissed about it. I guess they’re trying to differentiate it from the Romneycare from which it was copied and pasted into the U.S. Code (and themselves from the Romney-roids).
