completely undecided on major issues and alternate between one stance to the complete opposite
I’m completely confused upon sort of “logic” is required to come to this conclusion.
@TheTheologiansCafe – Exactly how are “most libertarians on xanga” “just contrary to what everyone else thinks” ?
What does “everyone else think” ?
What would constitute a “suitable” example of a libertarian?
@SerenaDante – Wayne Allyn Root would agree with you in his own way – he finally took the hint four days ago. Now he can stump for Romney all he wants for all I care, because he won’t be using the LP’s name to do it.
Anyway, Serena, you asked the question
“Why in the world would I vote for someone calling themselves Libertarian when it’s pretty much a crapshoot what policies and ideologies they will and will not support?”
Try reading Down With Power by L. Neil Smith, who is also the publisher and senior columnist at The Libertarian Enterprise. The Probability Broach is another way to look at it (in a fictional format).
If this seems confusing, it’s clear as hard vacuum when compared to the mess offered by “liberal” Democrats and “conservative” Republicans – they often can’t be bothered to follow the platforms and party rules that they fight and argue over at their conventions. The Mitt-vs-Barack back-and-forth has the same relationship to real issues as the WWE has to genuine athletics – it’s all really just for show.
(d) A cage fight like seen on the WWE pay-per-view shows.
In truth, that’s what we’re being offered the rhetorical version of with this Mittens-vs-The-Barack contest. And just like the WWE specials, it’s all just for show.
At least with the UFC events, there’s a genuine fight going on – just like the Black Romney and White Obama would have if Gary Johnson were included in the debates.
@PocketfulOfDreams – You’re basically right – a more formal way to say this is the Non-Aggression Principle that I linked to above.
Corn has been a “GMO” food for at least the last 5,000 years.
