IQ vs Exclamation Points
Ever notice that some on the internet can’t resist ending sentences with multiple exclamation points?
And it seems that the people who do this also have problems with getting their point across in a clear, concise manner.
That, and their postings usually have misspelled words, misused capitalization on top of the punctuation issues.
Why is it that a person’s IQ seems to be inversely proportional to the number of exclamation points that they attach to the end of a sentence or question?

i am not particularly pleased by this insinuation. if you have something to say about me, i would prefer it be said to me. cowardice is not an admirable trait.
@LauraDeLuna – How exactly did you arrive at the conclusion that this post was specifically about you?
Honestly… I love this, Mike. You made me laugh. Can’t wait to get back to writing on Monday.
Totes agreeee!!!!
@WorldWideWatchman / @Jenny_Wren – glad to be of service!
@mikewb1971 - not specifically about my, of course not, but with reference to me especially seeing that it was written only a short while after you visited my page.
and if i should not arrive to this conclusion, can you honsestly state that you were not writing it with reference towards myself?
@LauraDeLuna – Actually it was some of the others in the same thread (one of those Datingish threads about abortion or casual sex) who were engaging in this sort of thing. I usually have 10-12 tabs open in Firefox, so I’ll visit several blogs at once.
I never thought about exclamation points. I am guilty of that from time to time. My estimation of intelligence usually hinges on the content and merit of what they say instead of how they say it.
@Jenny_Wren - LOL
YOLO!!!
@mikewb1971 - well thats good to know then i suppose.
you apparently haven’t been around for long enough. I know plenty of people who don’t even use the exclamation points, but clearly lack points in the IQ department.
Yew try reAding Stuf like diS and yew will kill awl! Most of my friends call me a grammar Nazi because of this, but, seriously, grammar, spelling and correct punctuation usage is a surefire way of getting your message across correctly.
